The region's most important exhibition for food technology, additives and ingredients is preparing for a larger edition featuring new opportunities and experiences. This year, the event expands with the addition of a new exhibition hall, where companies will showcase their products and solutions to an estimated 12,000 specialized visitors.
Tecno Fidta 2026 will offer a comprehensive agenda of seminars, business matchmaking activities and special events. One of the highlights is the 7th Food Conference, taking place on September 16 at 2:30 p.m., under the theme: “From Science to Consumers: Digital Technologies and Innovative Processes for Safer and Higher-Quality Foods.” Organized by Red Alimentaria, GS1 Argentina, INTI and INTA, the conference is certified under the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
The program is divided into three thematic blocks and will address topics such as: the benefits of migrating to QR code technology; the impact of Artificial Intelligence on intensive food production; irradiation technologies (X-ray and gamma radiation); the application of gamma irradiation in meat products and its impact on food safety and stability; new challenges in allergen management and risk control in real production environments; primary production, regulatory controls and food service operations. On September 17 at 2:00 p.m., visitors will be able to attend the 22nd Industrial Refrigeration Energy Efficiency Conference, featuring technical sessions focused on professional training and industry updates. Topics will include: the energy impact of oil and opportunities to reduce costs while improving sustainability; condensers as a key element in industrial refrigeration efficiency; and operational efficiency in chilled and frozen food systems. The conference is aimed at professionals responsible for design, engineering, service and maintenance of industrial refrigeration systems. Attendance is free with prior registration. During the Exhibitor’s Conferences, participating companies will present their products and the latest innovations in the food industry. The sessions will focus on four major themes: Artificial intelligence, digitalization and traceability; Energy efficiency and cost management strategies; Advances in hygienic engineering, food safety and bioprotection; Technologies applied to plant operations, processing and packaging. Throughout the four exhibition days, the Business Matchmaking for Supplier Development in the Food Industry, Additives & Ingredients will also take place. Organized by Messe Frankfurt Argentina together with the Argentine Investment and International Trade Agency, this initiative connects international buyers with Argentine companies and provides an ideal platform to strengthen the industry's international positioning.
Parallel to the exhibition, the World Meat Championship will hold its second edition on September 17 at El Central Restaurant, located within La Rural. The international competition was created to recognize the world's best Ribeye Steaks and Striploin Steaks. Co-organized with Dr. Luis Barcos and AmeriCarne, the championship will once again take place within the framework of Tecno Fidta, further expanding the opportunities for innovation, exchange and industry development. Additionally, from September 11 to 13, 2026, the competition will incorporate the Quality Week, a new stage of the contest taking place in specialized meat restaurants throughout Argentina.
