Once again, the International Food Technology, Additives and Ingredients Trade Fair opened its doors at La Rural Trade Center in Buenos Aires, showcasing the latest machinery, products and solutions for the industry. During its first day, visitors attended a wide range of conferences and training sessions.
At the Open Auditorium, the program began with the conference “IIAR in Latin America: Safety and Efficiency in Natural Refrigeration”, where Luis Adur, Vice President for the Southern Cone of the IIAR International Committee, discussed the organization's role in the region and invited attendees to visit the exhibition space shared with ADIMRA and Argentine Food Machinery manufacturers.
The program then continued with the Exhibitor’s Conferences. The presentation “How to Optimize Your Supply Chain with Artificial Intelligence” was delivered by Tiziano Giangreco of Solution Principal. Later, Adwy van den Berg, Director of EHEDG; Guillermo Rubino, President of the EHEDG Argentina Regional Section; and Joshua Rodulfo, EHEDG Marketing and Projects Manager, discussed “How Hygienic Design Can Determine the Success or Failure of Your Business.”
Materials engineering specialist Ricardo Feldman led the presentation “Hygienic Engineering in Action: The Future of Hygienic Welding and Domestic Pump Manufacturing,” where he introduced the TIG welding seminars organized by Famiq. In addition, Nora Ramos, Technical Sales Representative at Protex Argentina, presented “Solutions for the Food Industry,” sharing practical tools, application techniques and the most common mistakes affecting product durability and performance.
Later in the day, the sesión “Bacteriophages: Invisible Allies for a New Era of Food Safety” featured Dr. Mariángeles Briggiler Marcó, Independent Researcher at CONICET and Teaching Professor at the School of Chemical Engineering of the National University of the Littoral, and Dr. Diego Mercanti, Associate Researcher at CONICET and Associate Professor at the same institution.

The Show Has Just Begun: What’s Next at Tecno Fidta 2026?
On Wednesday, during the second day of the exhibition, the IIAR Southern Regional Chapter will host the 1st Live Maintenance Conference, providing theoretical and practical training for both end users and technicians who operate refrigeration machine rooms on a daily basis.
The 7th Food Conference will also take place, starting at 2:30 p.m. under the theme: “From Science to Consumers: Digital Technologies and Innovative Processes for Safer and Higher-Quality Foods.” Organized jointly with Red Alimentaria, GS1 Argentina, INTI and INTA, the conference is certified under the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
The agenda continues on Thursday, September 17, with the 22nd Industrial Refrigeration Conference, also organized together with Red Alimentaria. The program will include technical and educational sessions focused on industry updates and professional development.
Also on Thursday, alongside the exhibition, the second edition of the World Meat Championship (CMDC®) will take place, where the world’s best Ribeye Steaks and Striploin Steaks will be selected. Organized by Dr. Luis Barcos, Messe Frankfurt Argentina and AmeriCarne, the competition aims to further promote innovation, excellence and knowledge exchange across the sector.
Throughout the four exhibition days, the Business Matchmaking for Supplier Development in the Food Industry, Additives & Ingredients – Tecno Fidta 2026 will be held, organized by Messe Frankfurt Argentina together with the Argentine Investment and International Trade Agency. The initiative brings together international buyers and Argentine companies to strengthen the industry's global positioning.
