Messe Frankfurt operates a global network of 28 subsidiaries in over 150 countries. Since 2003, Messe Frankfurt Argentina has been the leading subsidiary in South America, with operations in Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay markets.
As part of the celebration, a dinner was held with partners, business chambers, press, suppliers, colleagues, and executives from the parent company. Several moments were highlighted throughout the celebration, showcasing the company's growth in both the number of organized events and the size of the exhibitions. The strength of the relationships built over time and the expertise and warmth of the team members were also emphasized.
"Emotion and pride, I believe, are two feelings that summarize the spirit of this celebration," said Fernando Gorbarán, President and CEO of Messe Frankfurt Argentina. "Over these 20 years, we have witnessed and been part of the transformation and growth of an industry that has an unstoppable strength to adapt, reinvent itself, and stay at the forefront of the needs of its participants. We believe in these projects and in the people who take part in them, and we invest in them. These foundational principles are the reason why our partners trust Messe Frankfurt Argentina, and this shared vision allows us, as an organization, to place that same trust in each of our suppliers, who are strategic and are sitting here celebrating with us. Our team is definitely our most precious asset. Joint effort, constant adaptation, innovation, and professionalism are the synergy that drives each of our projects."
Detlef Braun, Member of the Board of Messe Frankfurt GmbH, remarked, "20 years of success are the result of 20 years of work, determination, persistence, and passion for people, partners, and our business. The key to success is not only the infrastructure, our global network, and industry knowledge, but also the desire for face-to-face encounters. It's in our DNA and is the core of all our events, fairs, and congresses: in-person meetings that not even a pandemic could destroy. People want to meet in person; from Frankfurt to Paris, Dubai, Istanbul, New York, Mexico City, Shanghai, or Hong Kong, exhibitors and visitors from Argentina are everywhere representing their country. The team in Argentina always surprises us, and consistently exceeds expectations and goals."
Yanina Martinez, Secretary of Tourism Promotion of Argentina, expressed gratitude for Messe Frankfurt GmbH choosing Argentina for the past 20 years: "We work to support the meetings tourism sector, which has enormous value as seen by the number of sectors and chambers present today at this celebration, and it represents a benefit in each of the regional economies. We believe that we can continue investing and working together in this virtuous public-private partnership to boost the growth and development that Argentina needs."
"We have worked hard to position meetings tourism," said Lucas Delfino, President of the Buenos Aires City Tourism Board, "and in this regard, Messe Frankfurt Argentina plays a fundamental and decisive role as one of the companies driving the sector. We still believe that Argentina has a bright destiny, with plenty of growth opportunities. It should give us a lot of pride: it's not just the tourism sector, there are a huge number of associations, chambers, and entities from different relevant economic activities that are present today, and that underscores the economic engine that events are for the development of our country."
Since 2003, Messe Frankfurt Argentina has excelled in organizing high-level exhibitions in key sectors of the domestic industry such as oil, gas, mining, automotive, energy, security, industrial technology, food technology, mobility and logistics, and textiles, among others. Throughout its history and working in close collaboration with sectoral chambers, MFA has organized more than 220 exhibitions, trade fairs, and congresses, totaling over 20,000 exhibitors, more than 4 million domestic and international visitors, and a net exhibition area of 1,541,620 square meters.
The addition of Hotelga to MFA's events portfolio was announced as part of the celebration. Starting in 2024, Hotelga will be held in collaboration with FEHGRA and AHT, and joins a portfolio that includes Automechanika Buenos Aires, BIEL Light + Building Buenos Aires, Emitex, Simatex, Confemaq, ExpoFerretera, ExpoEFI, Intersec Buenos Aires, Salón Moto, Tecno Fidta, Argentina Oil & Gas Expo Buenos Aires, Argentina Oil & Gas Expo Patagonia, and Arminera, in addition to the numerous congresses and special events for third parties that the company organizes.
